Top game consoles

There’s nothing like the first time you bought/unwrapped one of the best video game consoles you ever owned. The new plastic smell. The feel of a brand new controller. The first hum of an unfamiliar start-up sequence. The experience of getting new video game consoles is a gamer’s nirvana. Let’s  look back and fondly remember all of the video game consoles that made us smile and/or cringe upon playing them. These are the Top 10 Video Game Consoles of all time.

Virtual Boy

virtual boyWhy is one of the biggest flops in video game history on this list? One word: Risk. Nintendo took a huge risk in putting a VR-goggled, red tinted mess out on the shelves, but that is what the video game industry needs. We as gamers need companies to continually take risks so that innovation will come out of it and give us truly unique gaming experiences. Without the Virtual Boy video game console, we might have not gotten the Wii.

TurboGrafx 16

TurboGrafx-16This video game console had cards instead of cartridges. It had no third party games. But the TurboGrafx 16 was fun as hell to play. Bonk’s Adventure was just a solid platformer with a good time-span. The TurboGrafx 16′s library included a game for everybody, whether you liked four on four wrestling video games or strategy video games. Military Madness gave the strategy game a new place to go. Splatterhouse was a milestone in the survival horror genre and World court Tennis is still the only tennis game to have a career mode that felt more like an RPG than a sports game. All in all, the TurboGrafx 16 is a barrel of good times if you can get a hold of one.

XBOX 360

Xbox 360The XBOX 360 has XBOX Live, which is the best online community out of any console. It was the first console to be made with wireless controllers as the main controller. It’s powerful machinery-wise and also has one of the best game libraries of all time. If it wasn’t for the “Ring of Death” Fiasco, the XBOX 360 might have been at the top of the Best Video Game Consoles of All Time list.

Atari 2600

atari2600The Atari 2600 is the granddaddy of home consoles. Some argue that Intellivision had far superior graphics and that is true, but the Atari 2600 made everyone want to have a gaming console. Playability aside, it turned the tide in gaming and helped usher in a new era for consumer video games.

Nintendo Wii

nintendo_wii_whiteThe Nintendo Wii created feasible motion gaming, which is the next step in blurring the line between video games and reality. Looking back 50 years from now, the Wii may have been the starting point for Skynet’s robot uprising and inevitable takeover of humanity.

XBOX

xboxThe original XBOX is on this list for one reason…community. XBOX was the first console to truly embrace the idea that gamers NEED other gamers, and it showed through XBOX Live. The XBOX with XBOX Live  made playing your buddy 1,000,000 times easier and made playing a complete stranger even possible. Plus, I still can’t get the four TV Halo LAN parties out of my head.

Super Nintendo

super nintendoFirst off, Super Nintendo had the first controller with more than three action buttons. CRAZINESS! But the SNES was also the easiest system to get lost in. When you started playing Super Mario World, you knew you were hooked. A Cape? 128 levels? Four different colors of Yoshis? You thought you’d never get enough of it. But you had to, because that Link to the Past cartridge had been staring at you from the EB shelves since it got there.

Nintendo 64

Nintendo-64-ConsoleThe N64 was the first console to TRULY capture the moniker “Next-Gen”. Mario Kart 64, Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time… No one had ever seen anything like it before and the system seemed to be capable of unexplainable power, perhaps to end world hunger and any sort of suffering or plight. Plus it had four controller slots built in. Go Play some Goldeneye if you don’t believe me.

Playstation 3

playstation3py6The PS3 is this high on the list because, at the time of this post, it is the most powerful and magnificent home console ever produced. Not only does it have a built-in Blur-Ray Player but it has a game library with some exclusive titles that have changed.

Nintendo-NESIf you are a gamer, you need no explanation. For you others, the NES is just simple and classic. Super Mario Bros., DuckHunt, RBI baseball, Castlevania, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Mike Tyson’s Punch-out, Excitebike… The NES had the games that made gamers want to game.

But after years of sterling service, that bane for secretaries has reached the end of the line.

Godrej and Boyce – the last company left in the world that was still manufacturing typewriters – has shut down its production plant in Mumbai, India with just a few hundred machines left in stock.

To downoad point your Androids camera at the code image below.

In case you dont have a barcode reader search for it in the Android market and install.

QR codes resolved

QR codes, or quick response codes, is a type of 2D bar code that may be decoded using your smartphone with a QR code reader.  From being a tracking mechanism for auto parts, QR codes have proven to be very useful in marketing and convenience related applications that is more suitable for smartphone users.  In the recent months, we have seen QR codes show up on marketing materials such as movie posters, promotional posters for various products, billboards, flyers, among other things.  These have also been seen on newspaper ads, business cards, artwork, and other everyday things.

There are two main things that you have to have when you deal with QR codes:

1. A mobile phone with a camera and Internet connectivity
2. A QR code reader

Most smartphones coming out nowadays have a QR code reader already installed. For some, you would need to download the reader and install it yourself.

After you have you have your reader installed, fire up the application and snap a picture of the QR code.  Make sure that your hand is steady and that you are able to include the whole code into the picture.  There will be some instances when the scan would fail, do not worry, just keep on snapping.

Depending on your software, it may take some five to thirty seconds for the application to resolve the link for you.  That is to say, to decode the information written behind the code.  If it is a URL, the QR code reader will open your browser and let you surf the mobile site the code links to.

using qr codes

If it is a VCF card, a file that contains a person’s contact information, it will offer to save the information into your address book.

You can generate codes using  QR code generator. Go to that page and generate codes that allow you to send a message text, write an email or go to specific url.

You don’t have to be a business owner in order to benefit from the emerging QR code technology. However, if you ARE a businessperson, it is an incredibly versatile and cost effective technology that is available to you. A wave of acceptance is sure to hit this part of the world as soon as more people become aware of its great many uses.

Ordinary people can generate a QR Code for free and get other people or customers to go to your website, blog, business social media profile, product pages, articles, media sites, your own personal Facebook or other online social networking sites, among other.

It also acts as a business card. Some people are already beginning to generate a QR Code and printing them onto their business cards too.

With QR Codes, it simply means that you now have a bridge between your offline product with online information.  The separation between the two is now blurred.  What’s more, with mobile phones like smart phones, you can get connected to anything that is online, no matter where you go.

Samasung Galaxy 3 User experience

smiley galaxy 3Bought me a Samsung Galaxy 3 as a Valentine ’s Day present, had waited too long to get hands on an android and Angry Birds made this inevitable.

It took me just 5 minutes to buy the phone and I was online, no settings needed and all contacts sync on the phone while I was happily chatting my way through on the talk application.

A call landed on my phone and wow it showed the name of the caller along with photo. I didn’t do anything,  Google sync is surprisingly wonderful.

I launched maps and was happy to see the quick response of GPS assisted with data.

However by the time I reached home, a couple thousand contacts from Google and face book had been synced, yup I did download the Facebook app on my way home.

I tried calling my parents and it revealed the dark side of Galaxy 3. The phone application sucks big time. It took me almost 30 seconds for the contacts to show up. No matter what I did it remained slow.  I finally fixed it today after 3 days and night of extensive research and hit and trail based tweaking.

The music player is great, it says 5.1 on the top right corner but till now I have not been able to play music in that mode, I always get the error that 5.1 mode is only supported when effects are off, and till date I have not been able to find the way to turn the effects off, ma be I would read the manual when I don’t have anything to do or get fed up playing around with my droid.

Coming soon – how I made my galaxy 3 Shine.

Fundamentals of computer hacking

This article is solely for educational purpose. We are not to be held responsible for any act of misuse of information.

hackingGetting access to a secured system is not that easy nor too difficult too for a computer hacker. Protruding into ones system to get the secure informations is the main aim of hacking which includes the hacking into the system to get organizational layout, one’s personal information, banking activity and so on.

We have the technology advancement that is more effective and accurate in making the process of hacking a successful one with the help of simple knowledge on working procedures on the tools and hacking software. Knowledge on the fundamentals on computer hacking and tool utilization can make wonders to hack a computer.

How to computer hack via 3 hacking techniques?

1. FOOT PRINTING

The process of obtaining the secure data of organizations that is more confidential. It includes the information on the Internet, remote access, intranet and extranet. When you hack a computer you can trace the critical situation of an organization that affects the over all growth on profit quality rate.

  • First stage in foot printing an organization’s layout starts with fixation of target activity including collection of information from website holding the company and its employee’s. Social engineering is a target to hit upon to get easy access to the network on cracking the link in the internet to hack this site in specific.

  • Network enumeration is one of the techniques made in use to spot out the domain name and the network utility attributes. Getting into the database with tools on searching the internet can help in getting most of the needful informations.
  • DNS interrogation: DNS a distributed database is utilized to modify domain name into IP address and reverse. DNS configured (server’s installation and registration) with low-security gives off copy of organizational secure data on DNS zone transfer.
  • Network reconnaissance: On getting access through the Network it is easy to get into the network topology and the paths that link the terminals. Tracerouter program and hacking code tools are best to find the IP packet data that move along the paths. With the ICMP time exceeded message and hop count it is easier to get over the data transmitted.

2. SCANNING:

PING request sent to the IP address inside network terminals is ICMP ECHO packets and the response is the ICMPECHO-REPLY. Once the reply is obtained it will hack a computer to fetch the data packets through the connectivity.

3. ENUMERATION:

Protruding into the user’s account via network resources, shared informations, users, groups and applications to extract data is termed enumeration.

NMAP, STROBE, NESSUS and SATAN variants involving SARA and SAINT for LINUX. WINSCAN, SAMSPADE for WINDOWS are the best tools. Viable products utilized include CyberCop scanner as well as Internet Security scanners.

Google Instant

clip_image001The lightening fast search is now faster with its latest avatar known as Google Instant. Supported by Chrome v5/6, Firefox v3, Safari v5 for Mac and Internet Explorer v8 Google Instant helps you search faster by displaying the results as you type.

The most obvious change is that you get to the right content much faster than before because you don’t have to finish typing your full search term, or even press “search.” Another shift is that seeing results as you type helps you formulate a better search term by providing instant feedback. You can now adapt your search on the fly until the results match exactly what you want. In time, we may wonder how search ever worked in any other way.

Benefits

Faster Searches: By predicting your search and showing results before you finish typing, Google Instant can save 2-5 seconds per search.

clip_image003

Smarter Predictions: Even when you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, predictions help guide your search. The top prediction is shown in grey text directly in the search box, so you can stop typing as soon as you see what you need.

Instant Results: Start typing and results appear right before your eyes. Until now, you had to type a full search term, hit return, and hope for the right results. Now results appear instantly as you type, helping you see where you’re headed, every step of the way.

Personal Opinion: I just loved Google Instant as it at times showed the results that interested me. And at times its just fun to stumble. It definitely saves time and I have always been a fan of things that help me save time.

Would like to know you opinions too on Google Instant.

Windows Mobile 7

Lately there was a lot of buzz about windows 7 phone. Some even have thought it to be a iPhone killer . Lets see what it is that makes it deferent from it predecessors.

Windows Phone 7 is a mobile operating system developed by Microsoft, and is the successor to their Windows Mobile platform. It launched in Europe and Australasia on October 21, 2010, and is due to launch in the US on November 8, 2010, with Asia to follow in 2011. With WP7, Microsoft offers a new user interface, integrates the operating system with other services, and plans to strictly control the hardware it runs on.

clip_image001Windows Phone features a new user interface, based upon Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 design system, codenamed Metro. The home screen, called the "Start screen", is made up of "Tiles". Tiles are links to applications, features, functions and individual items (such as contacts, web pages, applications or media items). Users can add, rearrange, or remove Tiles. Tiles are dynamic and update in real time – for example, the tile for an email account would display the number of unread messages or a Tile could display a live update of the weather.

clip_image003

Windows Phone 7 will use multi-touch technology. The default Windows Phone 7 user interface has a dark theme that prolongs battery life on OLED screens as fully black pixels don’t emit light.

Users input text by using an on-screen virtual keyboard, which has a dedicated key for inserting emoticons. Spell checking and word prediction are supported, and users may change a word after it has been typed by tapping the word; similar words that may have been the word the user was trying to type will then be suggested as alternatives. Phone manufacturers may also choose to include a hardware keyboard for the purpose of text input.

Windows Phone 7 features a version of Internet Explorer Mobile with a rendering engine that is "halfway between IE7 and IE8. Internet Explorer on Windows Phone 7 allows the user to maintain a list of favorite web pages and show a tile linking to a web page on the Start screen. The browser supports up to 6 tabs, which can all load in parallel. Other features include multi-touch gestures, a streamlined UI, smooth zoom in/out animations, the ability to save pictures that are on web pages, share web pages via email, and support for inline search which allows the user to search for a word or phrase in a web page by typing it.
